Prepare the following:
1) Business contact info
2) Business description: a short and concise description in English that your customers will view - our site accepts Portuguese characters (letters) for tittles...
3) Pictures: the main (header photo) photo will allow a size up to 100 kb. The other photos can have a size up to 45 kb. These sizes allow for good views and a fast downloads.
a. These sizes represent the amount of pixels in the picture and also determine its size. A photo with 37 kb is equal to 448 X 336 pixels.
How do you get photos to the size requirement?
If you have not already done so, you will need to resize and or compress your pictures with a photo manager program. You should have a photo manager program installed on your computer such as Microsoft office photo manager. Depending on your camera, the results may be different than what is indicated below, but the process is the same. The process is easy and can be done in minutes.
Resizing your photos in 7 easy steps
The following steps are used with Microsoft office photo manager for achieving 45kb or less. To achieve a higher size for your main photo, simply increase the values below. Also, we recommend you save a copy of your picture before proceeding.
Step 1: put your mouse arrow over your photo. This should open up a window that shows a description of information including the size of the photo. If your photo is within the max picture sizes as stated above, you are ready to install your pictures, however, if they are not, you will need to resize and/or compress your photo – Don’t forget to save a copy.
Step 2: right click on your photo and open a picture manager such as Microsoft office picture manager. This will open your picture in a new window within the manager program.
Step 3: If your photo is larger than 2500 X 3000 pixels, proceed with step 4. If the photo is smaller than 2500 X 3000 pixels skip to step 5 and compress your photo.
Step 4: in the right hand menu, observe the size setting summary. Click on percentage of original width and height and then choose the arrow to reduce the percentage. As the percentage goes down, the pixel size below will become less. Reduce the percentage until you have achieved 2500 X 3000 pixels or less. Click ok!
You do not need to reduce the size as low as in the example.
Step 5: Click on the picture option again in the top left hand corner and this time choose compress. Next click web pages and then ok. If the estimated size is a bit higher than needed still continue as the actual size will likely be lower.
Step 6: go to the top left menu and save your picture as “save as” and into a folder that you can easily find.
Step 7: go to your file that has your resized photos, put your mouse over the photos and a box should appear with the new size. You should have achieved 45kb or less.
